Forgotten Bookmarks

I am very honored to have a guest post up today on a website that I have grown to love over the past several months. Forgotten Bookmarks is run by a very nice gentleman who works at and purchases for a used & rare book store. His site presents the strange and wonderful things that he finds inside the books.

Librarians often find strange and wonderful things inside books as well, like the handmade bookmark I posted below that was found in a children's novel at my library. This bookmark is the focus of my guest post, which you can view here on Forgotten Bookmarks. Check it out! (And be sure to take a look at the rest of the site. It's wonderful.)

Redding is my favorite.

  1. This is awesome!!!

As a teacher, crafter and book lover this speaks to me on many levels. I love the wittiness of it. The mixed up homonyms are a nice bonus too. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Haha, I mean homophones!!
Apparently words in general are tough too . . . if you're me :)

  3. Words are tough for everyone! That's why we read! :)

  4. I love this post! I think I might start documenting what I find in books- this week, I found a dog tag, called the animal shelter and gave the tag back to a 6th grader! How did THAT get in a book? Thanks for the post!

  5. Thanks, Kelly! Very interesting bookmark you found. :)

  6. Great post! I wish you could follow up on this topic!

  7. Your blog looks nice, even so it would be far better if you’ll be able to use lighter colors too as a professional design. This will make sure that a lot more readers come to check it out.Informative post by the way!

  8. For some reason, I can’t see all of this content, stuff keeps hiding? Are you taking advantage of java?
